Capture

Your

Moment

They say a picture is worth a thousand words but we know that when it comes to capturing that moment in freefall or the smile while you steer your parachute as you watch the sun set over the ocean... a thousand words is not enough!

The best way to never forget your Skydive Experience is by capturing every moment with one of our Video and Picture options. We use the best equipment and produce your video in a high definition fully edited collaboration of your experience including getting ready, your plane ride up, your exit, your freefall, your parachute ride, and your first thoughts after landing. We also capture high definition pictures of your entire experience including additional scenery photos on the plane ride up. You will receive your fully edited video and pictures the same day of your skydive either through a link sent directly to your phone and email or a souvenir USB, whatever is best for you! If you like editing your own video, we will provide you the raw video footage upon request.

You can view many of our Tandem Skydive fully edited videos on our YouTube Channel! You can check out some examples of the pictures you can expect to receive in the details below!

Your Picture & Video Options

The Selfie Cam

This is a GoPro camera attached to the Tandem Instructors wrist. At Skydive Vancouver Island, when you purchase the Selfie Cam option you will receive 200+ pictures and a fully edited personalized video.

1/6

Selfie Cam Pros:

  • Lower cost compared to ProCam (outside video)

  • Captures the freefall as well as the parachute ride

  • Our plane is a Cessna 182 that carries a max of 4 jumpers, therefore you and a friend can go on the same plane ride to altitude

Selfie Cam Cons:

  • Although it is wide angle, it won't capture as much in frame as ProCam

The ProCam (Outside Videographer)

ProCam has a separate skydiver jump with you with a videocamera and camera on his helmet. We call this skydiver the Videographer.  This type of perspective is about 6-10 feet away from you during freefall. At Skydive Vancouver Island, when you purchase the ProCam option, we include the Selfie Cam video and pictures in addition for no extra charge. Therefore producing 300+ pictures and a fully edited personalized video that shows both the outside and close up aspects of your jump. It also allows for your time under the parachute to be filmed as well.

ProCam Pros

  • The exit from the plane looks great and so does the freefall

  • Catches the landing really well

  • Two camera angles (ProCam and Selfie Cam)

ProCam Cons:

  • It's a bit more expensive

  • Some people find jumping with someone in front of them distracting

Tandem Skydive Student Safety Criteria
  • Tandem Skydive Students are not permitted to carry video/camera devices on them, including cell phones, during their skydive.
